Day 298
I usually take pics right after moisturizing... when it looks the worst. This was after my skin relaxed a bit. |
Christmas Eve.... Felt pretty good! But after spending time at my in-laws (they have a dog) I was pretty miserable as seen below... |
I was SO itchy the whole ride home and was super inflamed after washing my face. |
After it calmed down it wasn't so bad. Christmas I looked somewhat normal. |
Day 301
Day 302
My mugshot apparently... hahaha Was pretty swollen |
Day 303
Day 305
Right after applying moisturizer on my forearms, they feel like they're being attacked by red ants for 11 minutes (I timed it) |
This is me waiting for the burn to go away...playing on my phone so I don't wake up my hubby. |
Left was day 25.... right was day 306.. actually the first day of month 11. 30 lbs lighter and skin is so smooth. |
Hi thanks for your regular updates, they give me hope! I'm 3 months in and pretty miserable, thought I was bad last month ha ha, sooo much worse now. It's manly on my face red and scabby after months if steroids on my eyelids( 3 times a day advised by doc...cheers) I didn't have eczema to start with just pink eyelid and got prescribed good old HC, now paying the price bring back the pink lids!! You look like your on the mend hope your having a good skin day x
ReplyDeleteThis month has been good for me too! Your torso looks fab - mine flares quite a bit here still. I really hope your skin doesn't explode during 12 month period! thanks for the update.
ReplyDeleteCaroline.... You are so very welcome! That's why I swallowed my pride and started posting these heinous pics!
ReplyDeleteI've read many page on your blog. It makes me cry. But I am so thankful for you and your pictures and your blogging. You may have saved me from a harder withdrawal. I've only been on topical steroid for my face, eyelids, mouth since May of 2014. But I also had one steroid shot in May and then two rounds of oral steroids in December and then just a week ago, (January 2015). I was trying to taper off the , what I thought was small amount, steroid cream. But then flared bad and had oozing. I thought it was another staph infection and so did my derm because when he cultured a dry flak it came up positive for staph. So I went on antibiotics, but this time they didn't help and I kept getting more red and more inflamed. He told me the antibiotic mpshould help my topical steroid work better but I only tried twice because I was starting to figure out. But then I went on another round of oral prednisone and got better. As soon as I tapered it got worse. Startng to make more sense. I kept seeing stuff on TSW but it didn't click until I found your blog and a few others and I could compare what I looked like and your descriptions with what I was experiencing, I will never use either agan, so here goes my TSW. But I'm hoping for a short recovery since my use time was only 8 months.
